Bulgaria

While finishing her second Master’s degree in Bulgaria, Ivaila unexpectedly won the lottery for a US green card.  She boarded the plane bound for Seattle with $20 and a handful of English words.  She is living the American dream through very hard work and perseverance.

We met through Montlake Elementary, where our sons were classmates.
